Senior Production Planner

About the role

West is seeking a Senior Production Planner to lead short‑ to mid‑term supply planning and manage the end‑to‑end production planning process. You will align customer demand, inventory targets and manufacturing capacity to ensure timely delivery of life‑saving injectable medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer orders, safety‑stock levels and business goals.
• Maximize machine and tool utilization to achieve output plans and inventory targets.
• Coordinate material availability, raw‑material impact and tool qualification timelines with supply‑chain and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with customers, Customer Success, Commercial and Manufacturing to manage make‑to‑order items and prioritize requests.
• Identify excess, expired or at‑risk inventory and work with commercial and operations functions on remediation.
• Analyze capacity constraints, labor availability, changeover requirements and provide recommendations for engineering projects.
• Monitor execution of the production plan, adjust schedules as needed and ensure timely clearance of MRB materials.

Required profile

• Significant experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess capacity, inventory and material constraints.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can prioritize competing demands and drive timely execution.
