Senior Production Planner Lead (Continuous Improvement Projects)

About the role

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, is looking for an experienced Senior Production Planner Lead to lead production planning activities while driving operational improvement across the plant. The role suits a senior planner who can manage production schedules, lead the planning team, improve process flows and support OEE improvement projects. It is open and hands-on, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production planning and scheduling across multiple products or lines
• Prioritize production to meet customer demand, delivery targets and operational needs
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and material planning
• Monitor production progress and adjust plans to minimise delays and disruptions
• Lead and support the production planning team
• Drive OEE improvement projects and identify opportunities to improve process flows
• Work with Production, Sales, QA, Maintenance, Logistics and Procurement
• Prepare and review planning, performance and status reports
• Support continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency and waste reduction

Required profile

• Diploma or above in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience as a senior planner or team lead preferred
• Experience in process improvement or operational excellence is an advantage

Required skills

• Production planning, resource planning and scheduling

• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Six Sigma preferred
