Senior / Public Health Officer (Surveillance Coordination)

About the role

The Senior Public Health Officer / Public Health Officer works in a team supporting the design, implementation and evaluation of communicable disease surveillance programmes, contributing to Singapore's ability to detect, prepare for and respond to emerging disease threats. The role suits someone who can manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design, monitoring and evaluation of disease-agnostic surveillance systems
• Develop and maintain data collection tools and processes
• Clean, manage and analyse surveillance datasets
• Prepare reports, summaries and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Provide inputs to epidemiological investigations
• Support training of stakeholders

Required profile

• At least a tertiary education in Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Analytics or a related field (preferred)
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in public health, epidemiology or data analysis; experience with surveillance programmes for communicable diseases is an advantage
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
