Senior QA Engineer - Marine Systems Commissioning

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to lead the commissioning of marine systems across Singapore. The role involves overseeing construction hand‑over, planning manpower, and ensuring safe, compliant start‑up of equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify completion of construction activities before hand‑over for commissioning.
• Develop commissioning schedules and allocate manpower to meet project timelines.
• Create and implement procedures and guidelines for systematic start‑up of marine and electrical equipment.
• Coordinate commissioning activities between the company and OEMs.
• Conduct regular site audits to ensure safety and housekeeping compliance.
• Supervise on‑site commissioning, liaise with other trades, and maintain detailed commissioning records.
• Track progress through HAT meetings and participate in customer progress meetings to resolve issues.
• Prepare and update commissioning reports, risk assessments and safety briefings.
• Identify special tools/equipment requirements and initiate procurement.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Structural, Marine, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or related offshore fields).
• At least 3 years of experience in marine systems commissioning; shipboard experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Class and Quality Standard requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret marine/electrical and automation system schematics and arrangement drawings.
