Senior QC Technician

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services is hiring a Senior QC Technician in Jurong for an onsite position covering all scheduled workdays. The role supports Mill Control, incoming, in-process and final AQL inspections to confirm product compliance, and takes part in problem-solving and improvement activities. It is a monthly rotating shift (night/day, 7 to 7) on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform uncured and cured elastomer tests, auxiliary/component incoming and mold-line in-process inspections, and semi-finished/final goods visual, dimensional and document inspections per procedure.
• Sample incoming raw materials and retrieve retained samples from an external warehouse independently.
• Keep all preparations, tests, inspections and retained samples accurately documented and controlled (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Office).
• Ensure calibrations are done on time and before use, and escalate abnormal quality trends to the team lead.
• Coordinate daily QC tasks when the Team Lead is absent, prepare daily reports for Tier 2 meetings, attend the Tier 2.5 production meeting as QC representative and follow up actions.
• Take part in Tier 1 shift start-ups and handovers, and train and coach T1 technicians.

Required profile

• Preferably NITEC or higher NITEC in engineering or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of cGMP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant standard operating procedures, Lean Sigma programmes and the company's safety and quality policies.
• N3 laser licence for the safe use of Lasermike measuring equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, self-motivated, and proficiency in workplace English.
