Senior R&D Hardware Design Engineer - High-Speed Digital

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Senior R&D Hardware Design Engineer to join its high-speed digital circuit design team, working on advanced networking systems. The role is onsite, with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office. Your designs will influence performance, reliability and scalability across next-generation networking platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and own complex hardware designs, including component selection, schematic capture, board-level architecture, bring-up, debug and validation.
• Drive high-speed digital design decisions, covering signal integrity, power distribution and system-level performance trade-offs.
• Partner with layout, validation, manufacturing and firmware teams to deliver production-ready designs.
• Analyse design feasibility, margins and reliability, and perform root-cause analysis and empirical testing on new designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve design methodologies and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in complex systems and hardware design, including integrated circuits and high-performance platforms such as servers or mobile devices.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, including mentoring and influencing engineering teams.
• Fluency in English and the local language, with strong written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in digital and analog circuit design.
• Knowledge of high-speed design, signal integrity and power distribution.
• Hands-on experience measuring, testing and characterising high-speed digital signals.
• Board-level design with Cadence tools such as OrCAD and Allegro.
