Senior Regulatory Counsel – Payments & FinTech

About the role

Our dynamic APAC Regulatory team is looking for a Senior Regulatory Counsel who has experience with the payments, financial service or fintech industry in Singapore. In this role, you will enable Adyen to create unique business opportunities while making ethical choices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic regulatory advice towards internal and external stakeholders, aligned with Adyen’s commercial and strategic objectives.
• Lead regulatory engagements, managing relationships with regulators and auditors.
• Anticipate and identify key regulatory obligations and integrity risks, ensuring practical, scalable solutions.
• Translate obligations into relevant policies and procedures for global implementation.
• Represent Regulatory on various work streams and products to establish strategies that support controlled, compliant growth.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in a Commonwealth jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, UK, Australia).
• 10+ years’ experience in a regulatory or legal function focused on payments, financial services, or fintech.
• Deep knowledge of the payments, financial services, and fintech industry.
• Strong initiative, independence, and ownership to contribute to a fast‑growing business.
• Analytical and critical thinker who creates creative solutions for complex regulatory challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience managing internal and regulator relationships.
• Resident of Singapore.
