Senior Research Fellow - RNA Therapeutics and AI

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Senior Research Fellow to join a project at the intersection of RNA therapeutics and artificial intelligence. The project is part of a larger initiative within the NTU College of Computing and Data Science and LKC School of Medicine, aiming to advance RNA-based treatments through advanced high-throughput screening and AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead experimental wet-lab efforts to scale up high-throughput screening of RNA therapeutics.
• Design and conduct molecular biology experiments to generate high-quality datasets for training AI models.
• Mentor junior research lab members in experiments.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, including AI scientists and engineers.
• Stay current with advancements in RNA therapeutics and contribute to evolving methodologies.
• Participate in regular meetings and present findings to academic and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in RNA therapeutics and high-throughput innovation.
• Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration, especially with computational teams focused on AI model development.
• Self-motivated and eager to contribute to a rapidly advancing field.

Required skills

• Strong background in molecular biology and hands-on experience with wet-lab techniques such as RNA synthesis and high-throughput screening (preferred).
