Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

About the role

Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, and its Partner Apps Platform team enables internal and external teams to create, onboard, operate and scale web apps. It owns the developer tooling, self-service capabilities, developer portal, backend platform and reliability foundations. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will shape and build platform capabilities that simplify how partner apps are onboarded, configured, reviewed, released and operated, working across the developer portal, webview JavaScript bridge and backend services. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and be based onsite at the Grab One North office.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deliver scalable portal experiences, backend services and APIs for the Partner Apps Platform.
• Lead the design of self-service capabilities that reduce manual work and improve the developer experience.
• Drive automation across partner app onboarding, configuration, review and release workflows.
• Strengthen platform reliability and observability through telemetry, dashboards, alerts and operational tooling.
• Handle testing, security, performance and maintainable system design.
• Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, incident response and platform improvements.
• Mentor engineers and help evolve engineering practices across the team.
• Partner with product, design, mobile, backend and infrastructure teams to align priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Experience designing, building and operating scalable APIs, distributed services, databases and cloud-based systems.
• Knowledge of observability, production troubleshooting and reliability engineering practices.
• Experience designing secure, well-tested and maintainable systems across the full stack.
• Ability to drive design decisions, review complex changes and mentor other engineers.
• Experience building developer platforms, internal tools, self-service workflows or onboarding systems is advantageous.
