Senior Software Engineer (PC Based Automation)

About the role

PSB Technologies is hiring a Senior/Software Engineer (PC based) in Singapore to work on automation machine software applications covering machine control, robot control and vision inspection systems. The role involves hands-on development, installation and commissioning, and field support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automation machine software applications including machine control, robot control and vision inspection systems.
• Take part in installing and commissioning the control system, including qualification and validation activities.
• Assist in circuit design for machine control on full-line automation systems.
• Manage automation projects or sub-modules within a project.
• Handle machine setups and troubleshooting.
• Provide field support for automation machines and be willing to travel overseas when required.
• Communicate project progress, key issues and critical topics promptly to management, vendors and stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues arising from equipment, process and materials, ensuring timely resolution.

Required profile

• Ability to develop high-performance vision algorithms is an added advantage.
