Senior Software Engineer (Python / Platform Engineering)

About the role

Manpower is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Python / Platform Engineering) in Singapore. The role centres on backend development, container orchestration and observability, with the aim of designing, deploying and maintaining scalable systems, ensuring reliability through modern DevOps practices and contributing to platform automation and monitoring solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services, automation scripts and integration components in Python.
• Deploy, manage and scale containerised workloads across environments.
• Implement dashboards, metrics, logs, traces and alerting pipelines using Grafana, Prometheus and related tools.
• Design and maintain CI/CD workflows with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions and TeamCity.
• Take part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and cross-functional delivery.
• Troubleshoot and optimise Linux systems for stability and security.
• Work with Docker, Ansible, Splunk/SIEM and public cloud platforms to support enterprise workloads.
• Contribute to identity and authentication solutions (JWT, OAuth, SPIFFE) and proxy/networking configurations.

Required profile

• Excellent Python proficiency (5+ years).
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• Test-driven development and automated testing.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in Agile teams.
