Senior Solution Engineer (Expansion Patch)

About the role

Snowflake is looking for a Senior Solution Engineer to act as a strategic technical leader for its existing enterprise customers in Singapore, with a primary focus on Financial Services and Digital Native sectors. The role is field-facing and customer-first, partnering with Account Executives to drive adoption, workload expansion and multi-line-of-business growth, and advising senior technical and business stakeholders on using Snowflake as the core of their data, analytics and AI strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical expansion strategy for a portfolio of Snowflake customers in Singapore, mapping business objectives to workloads, use cases and lines of business.
• Design and deliver demos and technical narratives tailored to each customer's architecture, and lead POCs and pilots with defined success criteria and joint execution plans.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value and ROI for senior non-technical audiences.
• Work with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product and partners, including SI, ISV and cloud partners, to integrate their solutions into customer architectures.
• Capture and relay field feedback to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities.
• Represent Snowflake at customer workshops, executive briefings, industry events and community meetups, and create technical content such as presentations, reference architectures and playbooks.

Required profile

• Extensive 10 years of experience in a customer-facing solution engineering role.
• Proven experience implementing or migrating architectures to Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake or Apache Hudi, with solid understanding of object storage optimization (Parquet/ORC) and catalog management (Project Nessie, Polaris, Hive Metastore).
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, and extensive experience with Apache Spark, PySpark and dbt.
• Hands-on experience architecting data solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP, especially around networking and security.
• Excellent ability to present to technical and executive audiences.
• Strongly desired: experience with large-scale cloud data and AI platforms, scripting (Python, Java, Spark), selling or supporting enterprise data/analytics platforms, stakeholder management, and a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Bonus: hands-on lakehouse, data science/AI/ML experience, ability to travel on short notice to ASEAN countries, and working knowledge of regional financial services regulations (MAS TRM, BNM RMiT, OJK IT Risk Management).
