Senior Staff Nurse II

About the role

The Senior Staff Nurse II supports the Nurse Manager and acts as deputy in their absence, leading the dialysis clinic to deliver safe, efficient and patient‑centred care. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, overseeing clinic operations, and contributing to staff development and special projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑, intra‑ and post‑dialysis clinical assessments and review blood test results, reporting abnormalities to the Medical Director.
• Educate patients on diet, fluid intake, medication and blood pressure management to optimise outcomes.
• Monitor water treatment systems and dialysis fluids to ensure safe, high‑quality therapies.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment, ensure equipment is functional, and report defects promptly.
• Accurately document patient information in medical records and the Therapy Data Management System (TDMS)/EuClid.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives by reporting incidents, hazards and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing with registration on the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Minimum 5 years of registered nursing experience in Singapore (or 3 years of haemodialysis experience for foreign applicants).
• Advanced haemodialysis training and a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification are preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality‑improvement processes, risk management and patient privacy principles.
• Effective communication skills in English (local language proficiency preferred) and ability to produce comprehensive nursing reports.

Required skills
