Senior Staff Nurse – Mental Health (IMH Clinic)

About the role

Join the Institute of Mental Health’s ambulatory services team as a Senior Staff Nurse in the IMH Clinic. You will deliver safe, compassionate, recovery‑focused mental health care to adult patients, working alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care through assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Perform clinical procedures such as venepuncture, ECGs, dressing changes, specimen collection and patient assessments.
• Monitor patients, identify high‑risk individuals and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Deliver specialized care for patients undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and other mental health interventions.
• Educate and support patients, caregivers, nursing students and junior staff.
• Supervise Enrolled Nurses and support care staff, delegating tasks as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement, research and service development initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong clinical, communication and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary mental health setting.
• Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and professional development.
• Relevant psychiatric nursing experience is an advantage.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and registration with the Singapore Nursing Board.
