Senior Staff Nurse – Infection Prevention & Control

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Senior Staff Nurse to lead Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) initiatives in our hospital. You will protect patients, staff and visitors by ensuring compliance with national and international IPC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and review IPC policies and guidelines.
• Identify and assess infection risks across the hospital environment.
• Communicate updates on IPC standards and regulations promptly.
• Plan and deliver surveillance programmes, support epidemiological investigations, manage outbreaks and conduct contact tracing.
• Conduct regular infection control audits and promote adherence to IPC practices.
• Design and deliver training programmes for staff, visitors and the public.
• Contribute to IPC‑related research and quality‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Recognised post‑basic or advanced diploma in Nursing.
• Valid practising licence with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Certification in Infection Control preferred (e.g., CBIC, USA).
• Membership in relevant professional associations (e.g., Infection Control Association Singapore).
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute‑care setting.
