Senior / Technician (Chemical Clean)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring a Senior / Technician (Chemical Clean) for its Loyang site in Singapore. The role is onsite and involves mechanical and chemical cleaning processes within the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and chemical cleaning processes according to the production schedule.
• Carry out daily tasks following quality work procedures and guidelines.
• Support and take part in EHS, quality, ethics and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Be familiar with engine manuals, standards and other contractual documents that define the cleaning methods used in MRO.
• Set up and standardise cleaning equipment, process parts, judge their acceptance or rejection and document results.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the workshop engineer or cell leaders.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of mechanical and chemical cleaning processes required for aviation MRO.
• High level of integrity and accountability, with a strong drive for quality.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Preferred: self-motivated, able to work independently, positive attitude to change management, and aerospace experience with aircraft structures, engines and/or components.
