Senior Test Engineer

About the role

Flex is looking for a Senior Test Engineer based in Kallang, Singapore, to support its teams that build products. The role covers directing and coordinating electronic engineering and technical personnel involved in testing equipment, instruments and software, as well as analysing test data and improving test yields.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate electronic engineering and technical personnel in the design of testing and test-control apparatus, equipment and software, and in the development, procurement, installation, calibration and maintenance of test instruments.
• Determine test conditions and sequence test operations, and interface with engineering and technical staff to resolve testing problems such as product malfunctions, incomplete data or coding issues.
• Analyse and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for engineering and management.
• Develop or use software and hardware to test electronic products and systems, and conduct validation of test systems, equipment and process setups.
• Train floor support, test technicians and operators on test hardware and software and problem-solving techniques.
• Analyse root causes of test yield problems, coordinate corrective actions and monitor improvements.
• Coordinate equipment and tester maintenance and repair support.
• Adhere to EHS and CSER policies and help achieve EHS objectives.

Required profile

• Preferred: technical knowledge of PCBA and/or system box build.
• Able to read and understand 2D drawings and component schematics.
• PC literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, etc.) and with basic CAD knowledge.
• Excellent technical and commercial communication skills, customer-oriented and able to work with internal functions, customers and suppliers.
