Assistant Program Manager

About the role

Flex, a diversified manufacturing partner, is hiring an Assistant Program Manager in Kallang, Singapore. The role supports teams that build products for market-leading brands, working closely with Program Management, Operations and the Customer Focus Team.

Key responsibilities

• Review program proposals or plans, defining timelines, procedures, staffing needs and resource allocation across program phases.
• Meet with managers in Program Management, Operations and others to set out the work plan, assign duties and scope of authority, and resolve problems.
• Coordinate projects and activities with the Customer Focus Team so programs stay on schedule and within budget, and facilitate communication across departments.
• Prepare program reports and executive presentations for management and clients.
• May help develop and track program metrics.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites.
• Promote continuous improvement that affects project timelines, costs or daily production.
• Follow up on shipments to meet site and customer guarantees and coordinate the team on issues that could cause delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus 5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
• Advanced knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of Flex policies and procedures.
• Awareness of the functional impact on work processes and other functions.

• Office software: word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and database systems.
• Data entry and telephone use.
