Senior Test Engineer - Optoelectronics

About the role

GlobalFoundries is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join its team in Singapore. The role ensures the repeatability and reliability of test results for PDK development and customer testing services, establishes test plans and procedures, and works closely with designers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Test and characterise optoelectronics devices at chip level and wafer level, following process documentation and equipment operating instructions.
• Analyse data, generate test reports with measurement results and hold reviews with stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Maintain test setups and liaise with vendors on calibration.
• Support the transition of equipment from hands-on process measurement to high-volume automatic manufacturing test platforms.
• Collaborate with project team members so that devices meet specifications and perform as expected.
• Perform other duties as assigned, depending on project progress and company goals.
• Carry out all activities safely and support Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Optical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: practical knowledge of optical and electrical test instruments, hands-on experience in optoelectronics test engineering and high-volume manufacturing, strong problem-solving and data-review skills, and excellent teamwork and communication.

Required skills

• Preferred: programming knowledge such as C++, MATLAB, LabVIEW and Python.
• Data analysis and statistical skills.
