Senior Warehouse Assistant - 24/7 Shift Operations

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services is hiring a Senior Warehouse Assistant in Jurong for an onsite position supporting a 24/7 warehouse operation. The role covers receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging and shipping of materials, and supports inventory accuracy, traceability, documentation control and compliance with quality, safety and 5S standards. It is an onsite position; no relocation assistance is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, staging, internal transfer and shipment.
• Handle raw material issuance, SFG transfers and internal replenishment in line with approved procedures.
• Ensure materials are correctly identified, stored and handled according to inventory control, FIFO/FEFO, traceability and quality requirements.
• Prepare materials and finished goods for internal transfer and outbound shipment, and complete and file warehouse documents accurately.
• Carry out stock counts and inventory checks, investigate discrepancies and escalate unresolved ones to the Team Lead/Supervisor.
• Take part in deviation, safety and quality investigations and support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Maintain 5S, good housekeeping and safety standards, operate assigned equipment safely and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Support the Team Lead/Supervisor in prioritising daily work, and guide junior team members and support shift handovers.
• Report near misses, unsafe conditions and quality concerns immediately.

Required profile

• Secondary school education, NITEC, Higher NITEC, GED, high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or material handling preferred; prior experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Valid forklift licence or certification required.
• Able to work a 12-hour shift pattern including days, nights, weekends, public holidays and overtime, and to support shift-level coordination and training.
• English reading, writing and communication skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control, including FIFO/FEFO and traceability.
• Working knowledge of SAP or other warehouse/inventory management systems.
• Understanding of GMP, GDP and site warehouse procedures.
• Ability to contribute to Lean, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
