Senior Water Resources Engineer

About the role

The Senior Water Resources Engineer will act as a project coordinator, providing training and guidance to junior engineers in hydraulic modelling, flood impact assessment and ABC Waters design. The role involves close liaison with relevant authorities and internal multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake hydrological, hydraulic and water‑resources modelling for infrastructure and development projects.
• Lead flood risk assessments, drainage design, storm‑water management and water‑quality studies.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports and design documentation in line with statutory requirements.
• Review modelling outputs and technical submissions from internal and external parties.
• Coordinate with environment, coastal, geotechnical and transport teams to ensure integrated delivery.
• Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders to support technical submissions and approvals.
• Assist in responding to authority queries and review comments.
• Support project planning, scheduling, resource coordination and budget management.
• Contribute to quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• 7‑10 years of relevant experience in water‑resources engineering.
• Familiarity with the PUB Code of Practice on Surface Water drainage.
• Experience in flood impact assessment and ABC Waters design.

Required skills

• 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling using MIKE+, MIKE‑11, MIKE‑21.
• Experience with XP‑SWMM and PC‑SWMM.
