Senior/Assistant Manager, Strategic Communications

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, a next-generation integrated acute and community hospital in Singapore, is looking for a Senior/Assistant Manager, Strategic Communications. The role supports the team in media engagement, crisis management and internal communications, helping to build the hospital's identity and public trust while increasing colleagues' understanding of its work through internal platforms. It also acts as a communications contact point for workgroups and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and pitch story ideas to media platforms to raise the hospital's profile.
• Draft materials for media and external audiences, including media invites, news releases, fact sheets, speeches, talking points and FAQs.
• Facilitate media interviews and tours with minimal supervision.
• Build and maintain relationships with local media and key influencers.
• Support the team in managing media during incidents and crises.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare media coverage reports for management.
• Plan and support internal stakeholders for events and projects, and act as a contact point gathering content for external and internal platforms.
• Write leadership content, such as posts for Viva Engage and opinion pieces for LinkedIn.
• Handle assigned administrative tasks such as vendor management, procurement and documentation.
• Provide photography and videography for events used in collateral.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in a communications role preferred.
• Excellent written and communication skills, with a strong passion for writing.
• Good research and organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Videography and photography skills are a plus.
