Senior/Data Analyst, Data & Digital Office

About the role

The National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) is recruiting a Senior/Data Analyst for its Data & Digital Office. You will support both clinical research and healthcare operational analytics, working closely with clinicians, researchers and operational stakeholders to turn data into insights that improve patient outcomes, care quality and operational efficiency. You will also help generate evidence for cancer research by turning clinical questions into rigorous analytical outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Access, extract, clean and manage large-scale healthcare and administrative datasets, building reproducible data pipelines and well-documented analytical workflows
• Analyse hospital operational and clinical datasets to support quality improvement and value-based care initiatives
• Run clinical research analyses on cancer care, outcomes and treatment patterns using hospital-based clinical and administrative data
• Produce tables, figures and summaries for manuscripts, reports, policy briefs, grant submissions and operational planning
• Apply AI applications across projects, including information extraction, entity recognition and predictive analysis with machine learning models
• Follow data security, privacy and governance requirements when handling sensitive health data

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Bioinformatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics and/or Business Analytics
• Desirable: experience in healthcare data and health data standards, and understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare operations or research processes
• Meticulous, with strong organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills, able to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Able to work independently and manage several projects and stakeholders at once

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or R for data wrangling and analysis is essential
• Advantageous: SQL, OBIEE, JSON, XML, Tableau and experience with structured and unstructured data processing
