Senior/Executive UX/UI Engineer, Traffic & Road IT

About the role

The Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) is looking for a UX/UI Engineer to own, design and scale the user experience behind its next-generation applications and digital services. You will work across agile squads, bridging hands-on interface design with a deep understanding of user needs, and champion UX/UI best practices so that products are consistent, accessible and intuitive.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the full design lifecycle: conduct upfront user research, align design specifications with stakeholders, build robust prototypes and maintain post-launch design quality.
• Embed usability testing and resolve experience gaps identified through user feedback.
• Maintain design documentation such as design systems, component libraries and interaction guidelines.
• Contribute across the product lifecycle, from user research and accessibility audits to post-launch design iteration and front-end tracking.

Required profile

• Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Computer Science or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in UX/UI design, front-end engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive, user-centric approach and a strong sense of ownership over interface quality and design consistency.

Required skills

• Foundational UX/UI knowledge: user research, information architecture and interaction design.
• At least one design tool such as Figma or Adobe XD for prototypes, user flows and design systems.
• Basic usability testing and the ability to turn wireframes and high-fidelity mockups into semantic, responsive code with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Advantageous: React, Vue or Angular; WCAG 2.1; the Singapore Government Design System (SGDS); CI/CD practices including SHIP-HATS; Government Digital Service standards and IM8 compliance.
