Senior/Research Fellow – Cell Engineering

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a highly motivated Senior/Research Fellow to join a grant‑funded programme focused on next‑generation cell engineering technologies for cell therapy, regenerative medicine and immunotherapy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments in human stem‑cell and immune‑cell engineering projects.
• Apply molecular and cellular biology techniques, high‑throughput screening, genome engineering and single‑cell cloning to develop engineered cell systems.
• Perform bioprocessing, cell‑based assays, flow cytometry (FACS), multi‑omics and analytical workflows to assess genetic modifications and functional outcomes.
• Generate high‑quality data, supervise junior researchers, maintain accurate documentation and report progress.
• Participate in project planning, collaborative research activities and contribute to publications, IP and translational outputs.

Required profile

• PhD in Stem Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering or related field.
• At least 2 years post‑doctoral experience in directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells, cell reprogramming (including iPSC derivation) or genome editing (e.g., CRISPR).
