Senior/Staff Nurse – Day Surgery & Scrub Eye

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior/Staff Nurse to join our peri‑anaesthesia team, supporting day‑surgery and minor‑surgery cases across Singapore. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care before, during and after anaesthesia, while ensuring equipment readiness and strict infection‑control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate peri‑anaesthesia patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Verify that anaesthesia machines and related equipment are functional and properly maintained prior to use.
• Provide competent clinical nursing, applying critical thinking and evidence‑based practice.
• Maintain rigorous decontamination and disinfection procedures for specialised equipment, recording traceability accurately.
• Collaborate closely with anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high‑standard care.
• Assist in day‑surgery and minor‑surgery cases as required.
• Participate in on‑call duties, including Sunday on‑call every two weeks.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Nursing (or equivalent); Advanced Nursing Diploma is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in peri‑operative or peri‑anaesthesia settings.
• Meticulous, analytical, and a strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Competence in peri‑anaesthesia nursing care.
• Familiarity with anaesthesia machines and equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of decontamination and disinfection protocols for surgical equipment.
