Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer, HIG-HBM Product System & Engineering (Media Health Reliability)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer for its HIG-HBM product system and engineering function, focused on media health reliability. The role covers reliability testing, root cause analysis of device issues, process conversion recommendations for fab teams, risk management and mentorship, working with cross-functional teams such as Fab, HBM Technology Development, HBM Design, System Development and Quality/Reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop reliability stress test flows, test plans and qualification plans, and drive qualification gating issue resolution with the Global Quality team.
• Reduce extrinsic reliability (Time 0 and field DPM) and intrinsic reliability through optimized manufacturing test flows and test strategy, meeting quality, cost and cycle time KPIs.
• Debug and resolve root causes of qualification and RMA device defects using electric failure analysis (EFA) and physical failure analysis (PFA).
• Advise fab teams on process conversions to improve yield, quality, reliability and performance, and manage the associated risks with Product Managers/Leads.
• Promote innovation and technical advantages over competitors, mentor team members, and make final decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor devices, circuit design or product validation is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, teamwork, clear communication of technical concepts and a commitment to quality.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of CMOS technology, DRAM architecture and basic device physics.
• Familiarity with data analysis, statistics and scripting tools such as Python or JMP.
