SEO Specialist (Remote)

About the role

Verz Design, a Singapore-based web design and digital marketing agency, is hiring a hands-on SEO Specialist to work remotely. The SEO Specialist joins a growing SEO team and supports clients in driving organic traffic and improving search engine rankings. The role covers keyword research, on-page and off-page optimisation, performance tracking and client communication, with technical SEO experience strongly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve organic rankings and traffic across client websites.
• Conduct keyword research and align content strategies with user intent and business goals.
• Perform on-page optimisations such as meta tags, header structure, internal linking, schema markup and image optimisation.
• Monitor site performance with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush and Ahrefs, and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with developers and content teams, support technical SEO audits, assist in site migrations and redirect strategies.
• Run competitive analysis and backlink audits, and stay up to date with algorithm updates and best practices.
• Mentor account managers and support the sales team with SEO inputs for proposals.

Required profile

• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on SEO experience; agency experience preferred.
• Proven track record of managing and optimising multiple websites across industries.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, IT or a related field preferred.
• Experience supporting site migrations and managing redirects.

Required skills

• Technical SEO: crawlability, indexation, site architecture, page speed and schema.
• SEO tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs.
• Basic HTML and CSS, and familiarity with WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or other CMSs.
• Looker Studio or Excel proficiency; knowledge of E-E-A-T and ethical link acquisition.
• Regional SEO experience (SEA/APAC) and localisation best practices.
