Communications and Public Affairs Intern

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is looking for a Communications and Public Affairs intern in Singapore. The intern joins the Communications & Public Affairs team overseeing the South East Asia region and takes part in projects across public relations, social media, internal communications and public affairs, working on a diverse range of communications campaigns across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Create new content and multimedia assets to communicate key messages
• Draft communications for internal campaigns such as e-mailers, intranet articles and presentation decks
• Coordinate projects with external agencies
• Measure the effectiveness of communications campaigns
• Support the planning and execution of townhall meetings
• Support the relationship with trade and business associations

Required profile

• Strong written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills to work effectively across different teams and groups
• Familiarity with social media channels
• Comfortable doing basic graphic design, image editing and video editing
