Service-Learning Catalyst, Lecturer (HMIS)

About the role

Ngee Ann Polytechnic is seeking an experienced Service-Learning Educator for a 2-year position as Service-Learning Catalyst and Lecturer in the School of Humanities & Interdisciplinary Studies. The role champions Service-Learning as the polytechnic's signature pedagogy across its academic faculty, building partnerships, mentoring faculty and students, and supporting research and innovation in Service-Learning. The successful candidate will teach and supervise projects for youth and adult learners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop curriculum, deliver courses (face-to-face and online) and supervise projects for youth and adult learners in Social Sustainability, Project Management & Multidisciplinary Collaborations, and any module offered in the School's diploma programmes
• Plan, coordinate and facilitate Service-Learning modules across academic schools, aligned with diploma outcomes
• Provide Service-Learning training and mentorship to faculty on best practices
• Build and manage partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including non-profits, government bodies and corporations
• Handle administrative tasks such as event publicity, data management and procurement, and take part in broader institutional activities

Required profile

• Passion for Service-Learning and community engagement
• Proven experience developing and implementing Service-Learning pedagogy
• Understanding of social innovation, with hands-on experience in social enterprise, non-profit management or social impact consulting
• Experience establishing and sustaining partnerships with community and corporate organisations
• Knowledge of the arts, culture, media or community development sectors is an advantage
