Smart System Technician

About the role

Micron is hiring a Smart System Technician in its Fab 10A site in Singapore to support system solutions that improve operational productivity, efficiency and product quality in semiconductor manufacturing. The role covers High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), Component Assembly and Test, and SSD operations, and involves maintaining and improving software applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for software-related issues in manufacturing operations.
• Assist in deploying, maintaining and improving system solutions, including internal Micron applications and third-party vendor applications.
• Explore introducing new systems such as AI-powered analytics and automation tools to improve efficiency.
• Monitor application performance and user experience, escalating complex issues to engineers.
• Help craft and maintain user interfaces, using AI-driven insights to make them easier to use.
• Adapt to Micron enterprise systems using approved software languages, databases and standard tools.
• Analyze gaps in existing systems and suggest improvements, keeping up with the latest AI technologies.
• Collaborate with business users, IT and engineering teams to define requirements and resolve issues.
• Support database health, including basic backup and recovery, and maintain documentation and procedures.
• Take part in training and knowledge sharing with peers and less experienced colleagues.

Required profile

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Computer, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Practical experience with AI technologies and tools (e.g. M365 Copilot) is an advantage.
• Able to work on 12-hour rotating shifts, including night shift.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, ASP.net, SQL and HTML.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL and Oracle.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle and methodology.
