Software & Applications Manager – Appian, Agile, Oil & Gas/Insurance

About the role

We are seeking a senior Software & Applications Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise‑scale Appian solutions across the Oil & Gas, Insurance, and Banking sectors in Singapore. The role combines technical architecture, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement to ensure secure, scalable, and high‑performing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable and secure Appian application architectures aligned with business and technical objectives.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Appian solutions, from requirements analysis through deployment and post‑production support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical designs.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish development standards, coding best practices, and governance for Appian implementations.
• Oversee application performance optimization, code quality, and platform scalability.
• Manage technical risks, resolve complex design challenges, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Integrate Appian applications with enterprise systems and third‑party services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, solution reviews, and release management.
• Support pre‑sales initiatives with solution proposals, technical presentations, effort estimations, and demonstrations.
• Mentor developers, architects, and technical leads while promoting continuous learning.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software development and Business Process Management experience, with significant Appian platform expertise.
• Hands‑on experience in solution architecture and leading enterprise‑scale Appian implementations.
• Domain experience in Insurance, Oil & Gas, or Banking is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working directly with business and executive teams.
