Solution Architect - Data Architecture & Platform Design (Public Sector)

About the role

We are seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design of a comprehensive data platform for a government project in Singapore. The role focuses on building end‑to‑end data architecture, supporting diverse data sources and AI/ML workloads, while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design the full data architecture, including bronze, silver, gold medallion layers, semantic layer, and business analytics layer.
• Define data models, contracts, and governance frameworks for the core platform.
• Own schema and data‑warehouse design decisions and ensure support for IoT, telemetry, CCTV, and building system logs.
• Collaborate with partners to set interface specifications for inbound and outbound data.
• Establish governed access patterns for dashboards, APIs, and AI tools, working with security for controls and audit logging.
• Assess data to generate hypotheses for data‑science and ML use cases, guiding data collection and architecture.
• Enable MLOps pipelines and GenAI workloads, documenting all architectural decisions.
• Transfer knowledge to internal teams to build lasting design capability.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture and platform design.
• Proven track record designing medallion architectures and semantic layers on AWS using Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience leading large‑scale national or city‑level data platform projects.
• Familiarity with ingesting IoT, telemetry, system logs, and image/video data.
• Preferred experience with robotics data formats and GenAI/LLM workloads.
