Solutions Architect

About the role

As a Solutions Architect at Databricks you will lead the technical strategy for enterprise customers, owning architecture discussions and driving platform adoption. You will act as a trusted advisor to technical leads and architects, positioning Databricks as the foundation of data and AI initiatives. The role combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to deliver scalable, production‑grade solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end technical strategy from discovery through production deployment and consumption growth.
• Lead complex architecture discussions covering data engineering, ML/AI, and real‑time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leads, and directors.
• Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios by demonstrating Databricks differentiation.
• Develop and champion an emerging technical specialization within the team.
• Orchestrate cross‑functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, partners) to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Required profile

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre‑sales, or a senior hands‑on technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding and debugging experience.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, and cloud‑native platforms.
• Experience deploying production workloads on public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including infrastructure, security, and governance.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
