Speech AI Engineer – Healthcare

About the role

AI Singapore, hosted at Nanyang Technological University, is looking for a Speech AI Engineer to advance clinical technology. You will develop cutting‑edge voice models that support medical transcription and other healthcare applications.

Key responsibilities

• Build and fine‑tune state‑of‑the‑art speech recognition and audio processing models for clinical environments.
• Process and optimise medical audio datasets to ensure robust performance across diverse demographics and specialised terminology.
• Collaborate with clinical partners and AI researchers to deploy voice AI solutions that reduce administrative burdens for healthcare professionals.
• Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation to optimise models for secure, real‑time hospital deployment.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering or a related field from a recognised university.
• Hands‑on experience building and evaluating Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) or audio processing models.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python.

Required skills

• Deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Modern speech libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, Whisper, Wav2Vec).
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) to complement speech‑to‑text pipelines.
• Model deployment and containerisation using Docker.
