Staff Specialist, EHSS Business Systems

About the role

Micron's Global EHS & Sustainability team is looking for a Staff Specialist, EHSS Business Systems, based at Fab 10A. As the technical-functional specialist for SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow and the wider EHSS business systems landscape, you will initially focus on EHSS readiness for SAP S/4HANA and on strengthening ServiceNow-enabled workflows and interoperability across connected enterprise systems. You will work with EHSS subject-matter experts, site teams, program managers, IT, SMAI, enterprise program teams and implementation partners.

Key responsibilities

• Translate approved business and regulatory requirements into functional designs, workflows, system requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate standard platform capabilities, configuration options, functional gaps, dependencies and sustainment implications.
• Assess proposed designs for business fit, compliance, controls, usability, scalability, maintainability and auditability.
• Support design, testing, cutover, stabilization and sustainment activities.
• Define functional requirements, interfaces, workflow handoffs, system-of-record, exception handling, access and audit requirements across SAP, ServiceNow and EHSS applications.
• Partner with EHSS, data, IT, SMAI and implementation teams to keep solutions connected and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Steward the EHSS systems landscape: maintain an end-to-end view of systems and dependencies, reduce duplication and technical debt, and recommend enhancements, consolidation, replacement or retirement.
• Maintain critical functional documentation and knowledge continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Technology or a related field.
• 8-12+ years of experience in business systems, SAP functional delivery, enterprise applications, systems analysis or a related technical-functional field.
• Significant experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA in a technical-functional capacity.
• Experience with SAP transformation, fit-to-standard assessment, implementation or modernization.
• Ability to collaborate with business SMEs, program managers, architects, developers, system integrators and enterprise teams.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA and translating business and regulatory processes into functional requirements.
• Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise workflow platform.
• Preferred: SAP EHS, EHSM or Product Compliance, SAP S/4HANA migration, ServiceNow workflow design, and experience in a global, cross-functional organization.
