Student Guidance Officer - Student Services

About the role

ITE College West is hiring a Student Guidance Officer within its Student Services Department. The role maintains student discipline and provides support for administrative work, keeping the campus safe, orderly and conducive.

Key responsibilities

• Campus safety and environment: support a safe, orderly campus by conducting patrols
• Preventive education: run disciplinary talks and programmes promoting responsible behaviour and informed decision-making
• Student case management: handle disciplinary and appeal cases, including investigations, documentation and follow-up in line with organisational policies
• Student support: mentor and intervene with students who have behavioural issues
• Stakeholder engagement: collaborate with internal and external partners on crime prevention
• Programme support: help with student development initiatives such as learning journeys, enrichment activities and overseas programmes
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience in enforcement agencies is an advantage but not essential
• Proven organisational and communication skills
