Student Management Support Staff

About the role

The Student Management Support Staff will work closely with the school's Student Development Team to create a safe, structured environment for students. This role involves supervising students, providing socio‑emotional guidance, and supporting behavioural interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise students during recess and out‑of‑classroom suspension, ensuring safety and order.
• Mentor and guide students with behavioural and emotional needs, delivering socio‑emotional support.
• Plan and conduct intervention, mentoring, and social‑emotional learning programmes.
• Assist with discipline cases, conflict resolution, restorative practices, and mediation.
• Help students develop self‑regulation, communication, problem‑solving, and positive social skills.
• Observe, monitor, and document student progress, providing regular reports to the school.
• Support parent engagement and strengthen home‑school collaboration.
• Contribute to preventive programmes that promote positive behaviour, character development, and school values.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Child Development, Youth Work, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in education or social services, preferably with primary school students.
• Certified Practitioner in Restorative Practice / Building Relational Capacity (WSQ) is an advantage.
