Senior Engineer - Operations Training & Development

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is looking for a Senior Engineer to join its Operations Training and Development (OTD) team in Singapore. The role designs and leads learning initiatives that build technical capabilities and improve the employee experience, working closely with stakeholders and leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical learning strategies, conduct skills assessments and define learning outcomes aligned with business goals
• Design blended technical curricula with subject matter experts and deliver training via instructor-led, virtual and e-learning formats
• Evaluate training effectiveness with data, feedback and KPIs, and maintain the technical skills and competency matrix
• Maintain LMS records, create learning activities, review materials and track training metrics and development goals
• Partner with educational institutions on internships, work-study programs and industry talks, and coach employees for job fairs and career talks
• Support leadership development, talent outreach, branding and hiring under the TAG framework
• Keep up with trends such as digital tools, simulations, certifications, AR/VR, microlearning and performance support tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the front-end semiconductor industry
• Experience in Learning and Organizational Development is an advantage
• Confident in delivering stand-up training; ACLP certification is a plus
• Strong organization, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently and with diverse stakeholders
