Supply Chain Master Data Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Master Data Manager is responsible for data discovery, governance, solution design, quality measurement, and issue resolution across the supply chain function. This role translates business user stories into detailed data and analytics requirements and works collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to ensure data quality and successful implementation of transformative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough data discovery to identify key data sources and understand the current data landscape.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements from a data‑readiness perspective.
• Identify and develop business processes with process owners for creation and maintenance of critical data elements.
• Establish and implement data‑quality metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data solutions.
• Orchestrate a Data Governance framework with supply‑chain functions to ensure data‑quality improvements and KPI compliance.
• Monitor data quality and integrity throughout the planning/supply‑chain transformation lifecycle, resolving issues promptly.
• Measure plan quality in terms of demand supportability and plan recommendation stability.
• Implement best practices for data governance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Identify root causes of data‑related issues and develop strategies to resolve them.
• Recommend system and process improvements to prevent data‑quality issues.
• Work with GTS and business teams to troubleshoot and rectify data discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain documentation for issue‑resolution processes and procedures.
• Lead cross‑functional workshops and meetings to drive alignment and integration of data solutions.
• Serve as a liaison between technical and non‑technical teams to ensure clear communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, business, or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in data management, analytics, or governance, preferably within supply‑chain, manufacturing, logistics, or procurement.
• Hands‑on experience with data‑governance frameworks and master data management (MDM) principles.
• Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and planning tools such as o9, Kinaxis, or Blue Yonder.
• Proficiency with BI solutions (Tableau, Sisense, Power BI) and advanced Excel modelling skills.
• Experience across different phases of the data‑project lifecycle, from strategy and advisory to implementation and monitoring.
