Technical Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Superintendent to lead the overall technical management of our assigned vessels. The role involves ensuring optimal performance of all machinery, compliance with maritime regulations, and effective coordination of maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor condition and performance of main engines, generators, boilers, oil purifiers and other critical equipment.
• Plan, schedule and supervise vessel maintenance, repairs and dry‑docking projects.
• Review repair specifications, quotations and invoices, and manage spare‑parts logistics.
• Oversee the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and ensure accurate technical reporting.
• Provide technical support to the Master and Chief Engineer, including troubleshooting breakdowns.
• Coordinate with Class societies, Flag State authorities and ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO and company procedures.
• Conduct regular vessel visits, technical inspections and emergency support when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years onboard engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Technical Superintendent.
• Strong knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class and Flag State regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
