Supply Chain RFQ / Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain RFQ / Procurement Specialist will lead the end‑to‑end RFQ process, turning engineering drawings and BOMs into complete bidding packages and ensuring timely supplier responses. This role works closely with engineering, quality and project teams to deliver cost‑effective solutions for manufacturing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical drawings, BOMs and specifications to create comprehensive RFQ packages.
• Identify, engage and manage suppliers, maintain a supplier matrix, distribute RFQs and enforce strict deadline tracking.
• Analyse and normalize supplier bids, comparing part costs, tooling investments and logistics expenses.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and lead times to optimise total cost of ownership.
• Collaborate with Quote, Engineering, Quality and Project Management teams to resolve technical queries.
• Maintain ERP data, including price logs, supplier databases, sourcing rules and cost models.
• Track RFQ resource usage and report on related KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of procurement, sourcing or cost‑estimating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of contract manufacturing and global commodity strategies.
• Proven ability to read engineering drawings, CAD files and technical specifications.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
