Talent Development (Scholarship and Young Talent Management)

About the role

As part of the Digital Industry and Talent Group in IMDA, the Human Capital Cluster (HCC) division seeks to strategise and develop talent attraction initiatives so that Singapore can capture opportunities in the digital economy. You will join HCC's Talent Development division, which runs programmes to identify and groom a pipeline of talent to drive the Digital Economy and become the next generation of leaders in the infocomm media (ICM) sector.

Key responsibilities

• Work with industry partners ranging from MNCs, large local enterprises, startups and SMEs to overseas employers in tech hubs such as Silicon Valley, to understand their leadership talent needs and collaborate on the SG Digital Leadership Accelerator, IMDA's leadership talent network.
• Plan, manage and run key leadership programmes under the SG Digital Leadership Accelerator, such as the SG Digital Leaders programme (growing a pipeline of Singaporean C-suite leaders in tech and media) and the SG Digital Scholarship (an industry scholarship developing future tech and media leaders).
• Act as the talent partner to scholars and leaders, advising them on career development and progression.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with government agencies, higher education institutions, industry associations and sector champions.
• Support data analytics and process automation projects to track outcomes and manage reporting across leadership talent programmes.

Required profile

• Degree qualification, preferably with 5-8 years of experience in the ICT/Media industry in account management, partnerships, talent development or talent management.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage senior stakeholders such as corporate leaders, HR directors and startup founders, and good networking skills to build long-term relationships.
• Analytical and strategic thinking, and the ability to make sound judgements.
• Result-driven self-starter who can deliver in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, comfortable with different technology platforms, and pays close attention to detail.
