Technical Documentation Specialist (9‑month contract)

About the role

The Technical Documentation Specialist will design and maintain process workflows for ultra‑clean product assembly in semiconductor manufacturing. The role focuses on converting legacy SOPs and work instructions into a standardized, controlled‑document format while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and standardise SOPs/WIs for 97 processes, maintaining a master register with owners, revisions, and training requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, QA, EHS and other experts to validate technical content and embed visual controls such as diagrams, photos and flowcharts.
• Coordinate document reviews, approvals, controlled release, archival and support internal audit readiness.
• Track programme progress, overdue actions and risks via weekly dashboards.
• Support engineering change notices, purchase requisitions and verify BOM and routing accuracy when needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing environments with process documentation, SOP/WI development, quality systems or continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with cleanroom, optics, coating, semiconductor or regulated manufacturing is an advantage.
• Ability to translate complex technical processes into clear, operator‑friendly instructions.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office and electronic document‑management systems.
• Controlled‑document practices, revision control, change management and good documentation practices (GDP).
• Process mapping, risk‑based prioritisation, Bills of Materials (BOM) and routing management.
• Master data management and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and AS9100D standards.
