Technical Officer – Nursing

About the role

The Technical Officer – Nursing provides essential support for the operation and maintenance of training facilities at ITE College East. This role ensures that laboratories and the simulation centre are safe, well‑stocked, and fully functional to support nursing education.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep school laboratories and the simulation centre.
• Manage inventory of flammable and hazardous chemicals and laboratory consumables.
• Perform basic maintenance, servicing, and repairs of tools, equipment, and machines.
• Oversee day‑to‑day laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, media and chemical preparation, and cleaning.
• Procure essential materials, tools, and equipment for training sessions.
• Develop and follow a general maintenance schedule and track follow‑ups.
• Provide technical support to teaching staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in a healthcare‑related environment.
• Nursing background with experience in healthcare technology is an advantage.
• Meticulous administration skills, especially in handling procurement documents.
• Good knowledge of safety regulations (SCDF, NEA, WSHA) and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with international and local standards such as ISO Quality System Standards and Singapore Standards.
