Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer III

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer III (E3) in Singapore. The role covers all technical support aspects for a specific customer, acting as the field escalation focal point between the customer and the division.

Key responsibilities

• Handle escalations, fleet performance, system installations, improvement programs and upgrades for a specific customer.
• Act as intermediary and field escalation focal point, providing technical support and documentation to field engineers, technicians and product support personnel.
• Provide Alpha Site support to Engineering on installation, operation, calibration, service and testing of new hardware, process or software designs.
• Provide Beta Site support on new hardware, software or processes on a customer tool.
• Initiate and review ECOs so that data supports fixes, and follow up with the field.
• Generate and present system performance data such as MTBF, MTBI and availability, including process data and I/W spending analysis.
• Support GPS in generating documentation such as CENs and BKMs, and create and review documentation on technical improvements, system upgrades and support plans presented at customer level.

Required profile

• A relevant engineering education qualification.
• Prior experience with PVD equipment is highly preferred, especially for candidates with a field or customer support background.
• Able to understand issues across regions, diagnose and resolve complex technical problems, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
• Comfortable working in Europe/US time zones and occasionally in cleanrooms or labs for lab development work.
• Team player who adapts to changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel 60% of the time to countries in Asia.
