Technical Project Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead manufacturing projects for precision‑machined, sheet‑metal and plastic components used in semiconductor and display equipment. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions while supporting the company’s global innovation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans, tracking deliverables from planning through implementation.
• Perform technical calculations to price build‑to‑print parts and simple assemblies.
• Apply GD&T standards and DFx principles to identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, materials, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.
• Participate in intra‑business unit design teams and contribute to technical development.
• Maintain matrices for process improvements and generate status reports, charts, and checklists.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in precision parts manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturability and producibility practices for sheet metal and plastic parts.
• Knowledge of basic electrical components is desirable.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Problem‑solving mindset with experience applying DFx tenets.
