Technical Project/Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Technical Project/Program Manager based in Singapore. The role leads projects from conception through implementation and deployment, supports cross-functional design teams and drives supply chain projects for the AGS business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans and lead projects from conception and planning through implementation and deployment.
• Contribute to project strategies, processes and resource plans.
• Manage project schedules and task execution using project management tools, including status reports, tracking charts, checklists and scheduling software.
• Drive cost, schedule and performance objectives for equipment and deliverables supporting internal and external customers and global vendors.
• Support cross-functional design teams of internal, external and matrixed resources and provide technical input and guidance.
• Interface with engineering, operations, supply chain and business teams to drive supply chain projects for the AGS business unit.
• Identify project risks and issues and develop mitigation and resolution plans.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, project management, engineering or supply chain management.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Preferred: engineering/technical background with experience in the semiconductor industry and/or supply chain management.
• Preferred: experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: experience with semiconductor components such as OEM components, process power systems, build-to-print parts, advanced materials and mechanical or electrical assemblies.
• Experience working with global suppliers, vendors and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong communication, influence and negotiation skills in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets and present findings to senior executive leadership.
• Leadership of teams or projects with moderate complexity, risk and resource requirements.
