Technical Service Manager APAC

About the role

Lesaffre's Asia Pacific headquarters is based in Singapore, and it seeks a highly dynamic Technical Service Manager to lead its regional application centre. The role balances strategic vision with practical execution, providing technical support to customers and helping develop new applications and product concepts across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the application centre team, delivering technical support by developing solutions to market needs and working with cross-functional departments on commercial planning and application knowledge.
• Conceptualize and commercialize new product launches in APAC, and develop new application concepts for new market segments based on trends and the innovation pipeline.
• Manage the regional product portfolio, aligning existing products with regional taste strategies and exploring new alternative ingredients.
• Build networks with external research resources and ingredient houses for technical collaboration.
• Work with Sales, the Global Culinary Center, Innovation and Industrialization teams, and with Marketing APAC to introduce new application concepts to the market.
• Support APAC sales on technical queries, product promotion, launches, demo kits and presentations, and plan and run distributor and newcomer training, seminars and webinars.
• Visit customers physically or virtually across APAC and mentor food technologists, supervise intern students and build technical capability within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field such as Food Science.
• More than 8 years of professional experience in technical, innovation or R&D for B2B food ingredients.
• Strong project management skills and strong technical knowledge.
• Experience with sensory evaluation and customer relationship management.
• Team management experience preferred.
