Technical Services Officer

About the role

Sika, a specialty chemicals company serving the building and motor vehicle sectors, is hiring a Technical Services Officer in Singapore. The role combines technical support for sales and customers with product application guidance, sample preparation and laboratory work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the sales team, admixture business, applicators and end users, including product training and demonstrations
• Handle customer complaints, including site visits, follow-ups and investigation reports
• Visit sites to check that systems are applied correctly and meet customer expectations
• Build relationships with applicator customers, run quality reports and assess their competence through practical tests
• Advise on product application and troubleshooting, and carry out lab tests to share product knowledge
• Prepare samples accurately according to product formulation for laboratory evaluation and customer requests
• Support product development and production optimisation, and advise internal staff on admixture products
• Maintain records of in-house and external test data, analyse results and recommend improvements
• Revalidate expiring admixture products, communicate with independent laboratories and keep lab tools and equipment clean and well maintained

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Chemistry or a related field
• Fluent in multiple languages
• Good communication skills
• Computer-literate
